Baking, crocheting and taking a more natural approach to day to day health all require the same thing. Patience. Even the homemade salves that I make require patience, as our island salve requires a strategic infusion of ingredients over a period of time. That way, we can assure the final product will always be of superb quality.

I’m a sucker for baked goods, dim sum, and a robust espresso. I try to enjoy these things leisurely as growing up with Crohn’s Disease has made my diet choices pretty restricted until I was able to get it under control. It’s taken a few years to get the right supplements and lifestyle changes together, but I can happily say that I’ve been in remission and have no evidence of inflammation in my G.I. tract per my Gastroenterologist.

While it’s great to be in remission I still have my upkeep to do from eating a proper diet, exercise, and a handful (literally) of supplements.
